As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, homeowners are now eligible for a 30% tax credit up to $1500.00 Dollars for the purchase of a qualifying entry doors and or windows. |
How do I get the credit?
* Purchase and install a qualified DMI product from 1/1/2009 to 12/31/2010.* Save the sales receipt and the NFRC performance label that is attached to the door / window.
* Claim the tax credit when you file your 2009 or 2010 taxes as directed by the IRS.
Which products qualify?
* The unit must have a U-factor and a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient of 0.30 or lower as tested at an independent laboratory and certified and labeled by the manufacturer.The Details
* The tax credit is for the product only and does not cover installation costs.
The maximum credit is $1,500 combined for tax years 2009 and 2010 and includes other eligible products.
