The process typically begins with a visit to our showroom. Here you will see a variety of door styles ranging from raised panel doors to the classic flat panel doors. Available species include but are not limited to – oak, maple, cherry, hickory, knotty alder, birch, mahogany and MDF paint grade. True divided French doors and full view one lite glass doors are also available in a variety of decorative glass options. With literally hundreds of styles , there is something for every taste and budget.
Once you’ve made a selection a DMI rep will schedule an appointment to measure your existing doors. This appointment takes as little as an hour and is an important step to insure a custom fit.
Can I order my doors pre- finished?
Yes indeed. There are several standard colors to choose from. In addition, we offer a custom color program in which we will match your door to your existing frame and trim. With no brush marks runs or streaks and no paint fumes or mess it’s not surprising that most customers choose pre-finishing.Can I replace my old hinges and hardware?
Absolutely. Premium levers from Emtek, Schlage and Kwikset make a strong visual statement and highlight the beauty of your new doors.
How long does the
process take?
The entire service from selection to installation typically takes 2-3 weeks, including prefinishing.
